Transportation

Year after year the transportation to and from the island of PAROS is better. You can reach Paros ferry with ships that depart from the capital, both from Piraeus and Rafina. The itineraries are very often during the summer months. Ticket prices depend on the ship you choose. By ferry boat from Piraeus, the ticket is cheaper and the trip lasts about 5 hours, while at high speed, departing from Piraeus, the ticket is more expensive, and the trip takes about 3 hours. PAROS is also connected to other ports in the country, some of which are the Amorgos, Anafi, Ikaria, IOS, Samos, Mykonos, Naxos, Rhodos, Santorini, Sifnos, Skiathos, Syros, Tinos, Crete, Volos, and Thessaloniki.

Alternatively you can flight to PAROS. Paros airport is located 9 km from the island's capital, Paroikia, near the village of Alyki. It takes about 10 minutes and you can go by taxi or bus. Flights from Eleftherios Venizelos airport are widespread and over 35 minutes. During the summer the Paros is linked to other international airports, but not directly but only through Athens.
